The Scenic Route

    


     "I have got about 10 minutes of extra time, that should be just enough."

     B'eight quickens the pace and, when it comes up on the right, continues past the mess hall.  On this whole level there are only two windows.  One is clear on the other end of the vessel and there is no way to make it there and still be in time to report.  However, the second one is just passed the mess hall, thru another section of quarters, and hidden just on the other side of a storage block.  Few people even know about it and it was pure mistake on B'eight's part finding it.

    Excitement is welling up as B'eight rounds the corner past the storage block.

    "Getting lost that first week is the best thing that happened to you, ya sly..."

   B'eight trails off as the corner is made.  Heart sinking a little at the sight of another person standing there, peering out the window.

   There is an uncomfortable pause in the moment.  B'eight wants to turn around and leave but there is no escaping notice in this dead end.
