Pod 3

      B'eight steps over the corpse in the room and enters the door to escape pod 3.  A pained expression growing, starting at the eyes then spreading slowly as the door closes.  Scanning the pod B'eight sees that there is a red button on the console with the word 'LAUNCH" printed on it in bold black letters.  Without thinking B'eight presses the button.  Big mistake.

    The force of the pod being ejected from the ship throws B'eight against the wall instantly snapping the spine just below the neck.  B'eight does not even have a chance to realize the error.  As the speed of the pod normalizes B'eights body slides lifelessly into the chair, hands limply coming to rest across the seat restraints that would have keep the spine intact while the pod flies effortlessly to safety.
