Onward To Freedom

    Climbing past the debris B'eight successfully makes it to the end of the hall.  Thankfully it is untouched by the chaos of whatever has been going wrong.  Straight ahead is the door to the tube system which gives access to the other levels of the ship.  To the right, illuminated by a soft blue light, is the door to the escape pod bay.  Just as B'eight is about to walk through the door there is a crackling pop from the ship's speaker system.  A hiss of white noise and then...

    "This is the captain speaking.  The Tomorrow has sustained serious damage and is drifting without control.  A large number of our crew is lost and a great quantity has abandoned ship.  If you are hearing this then there is still hope.  We need all able-bodied members of our crew to immediately report to the mess hall on bridge level.  The tube system on most levels is still active.  I strongly discourage more crew from abandoning ship via escape pod.  Be strong.  Be safe.  We are in this together..."

   The speech is cut off from yet another explosion.  It is impossible to know if it came from where the captain was speaking from or elsewhere but it shakes the whole vessel.  B'eight reassess the decision at hand.

 - B'eight goes into the escape pod bay confidant the explosion killed the captain

 - B'eight gets into the tube system to heed the captains plea
