Safe, Briefly

     B'eight jumps to the left, out of the path of the sliding crate, but also away from the railing, and now begins falling toward the back wall with the same speed as the other loose objects in the loading bay.  There is nothing to be done but ride it out.  B'eight slides feet first and slams into the wall at full speed, instantly breaking both legs and crumpling to the corner of the room.  A scream of pain is lost amid the sounds of chaos and terror rampant in the loading bay.  As B'eight looks up in the direction of the fall it is only to see another large metal crate, slightly smaller than the last, tumbling down the floor.  With both legs now broken there is nothing that can be done, and no time to do it.  B'eight is helpless as the object collides with the wall.  Amazingly it lands at an angle, creating a triangle of space with B'eight safely in-between.  

       Bright lets out a triumphant yell filled with pain.  Unexpectedly, there is another explosion and it rattle the bottom of the crate free from what ever it was hung on, and the bottom now begins to slide toward the wall, slowly enough to watch, but to quick for B'eight to crawl away from with two broken legs.  B'eight is trapped like a mouse in the world's slowest mouse trap.  All the same, the crate slides all the way down, closing the gap.  Due to it's incredible weight it hardly notices B'eights body or screams of terror as it fits snuggly into the corner where the floor meets the wall.
